Some Things Left to Accomplish in 2020

It’s hard to believe that June 2020 is literally around the corner & half the year will be behind us. The “Rona” has taken lives, sickened even more, and made the last 2.5 months seem like the twilight-zone depending on your personal experience.

I’ll be the first to tell anyone the last couple months have been a mental rollercoaster for me. But I am here on the side…. never will I stop. No matter what.

Fast Forward: Here are some things I want to accomplish before 2020 ends.

Health: In January I weighed about 245. To my surprise, I have lost some pounds during COVID. I am down to 236 as of May 27th. The ideal weight for me would be 215 or 220, but the objective is to create & sustain a better lifestyle. Managing a bowling alley and living a healthy life is not something you can do with bad habits. I know I can do better, I will do better!

Financial: I am going to shed some light on this. My big goal was to have $10,000 cash/savings by the end of 2020, after buying the Celina house 6 months earlier then projected. COVID restrictions are putting some unknowns in play here though. I am not sure how the weddings later on in the year will play out. I also invested $3,750 into brand new equipment. That was not part of the 2020 vision this year, but was needed for the long-term game.

Goal: Get too $10,000 by the end of the year . I estimate to be about half way there by the end of June, so on pace?!

Goal #2: Pay off new sound system before Thanksgiving.

Thoughts for the rest of 2020 and into 2021: Invest into another property near around the Grand Lake area as an Airbnb or rental property. Two things have helped me climb the “wealth ladder” in my 20’s. The first was homeownership and having roommates to offset expenses. The 2nd thing is my ability to DJ and establish a secondary income. The secondary income is being effected by COVID, but the light appears to be at the end of the tunnel.

Final Thoughts: Stay Humble. Be Good. Never Quit.
